Dermabit Waterproofing Industries (DWI), a Saudi Arabian manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing membranes, had been receiving odour complaints despite implementing mitigation measures like scrubbers. From 2010 to 2014, DWI collaborated with Air & Odour (Mrs. Elisabeth Lord, Canada) to address the issue.

Through various phases, including a site audit, odour emissions characterization, and odour impact assessment, key odour sources were identified. A management plan was then developed to assess and implement mitigation measures. Since then, DWI has been managing its odour emissions in an optimized and responsible manner, with no further complaints received.
